June 8 begins the most ambitious and far-reaching attempt to improve and reconstruct the educational facilities of School District 131 ever made. Additional classrooms will be installed in all buildings, washrooms will be enlarged and renovated, computer labs will be installed in all buildings, library learning centers will be remodeled.All classrooms and learning centers will be moved so as to connect with the Internet so research can be accommodated, and new technology media centers will be installed so that construction technology, automotive technology, electronics technology, computer repairs and production, woodworking, metal working, sewing and food preparation can be taught.
This is the most extensive attempt to bring school facilities into a proper state-of-the-art condition that has ever occurred in District 131. When completed, East Aurora students will be prepared to take their places in the most technologically developed society the world has ever known.
The members of the Board of Education of School District 131, the administrators and teachers of the district and those citizens of the district whose votes brought these astounding developments to life can all take pride in their accomplishments. Don Brown Aurora
