Qld: Teen charged after assaulting police officer
BRISBANE, April 23 AAP - A teenager has been charged with serious assault after an
incident in which a policeman was punched outside a hotel in Queensland.
Police were attempting to clear a path for an ambulance crew trying to reach a man
who had been knocked unconscious during a disturbance at the Commercial Hotel in Inglewood
about 10pm (AEST) yesterday.
An 18-year-old man is alleged to have punched one of the police officers in the neck,
knocking him into the side of a nearby parked vehicle.
The youth was arrested and charged with serious assault.
He is expected to appear in Warwick Magistrates Court tomorrow.
