- Police are looking for four men seen running from a Mt Pritchard home after a bullet
was fired through the front door.

- The detective who fired the bullet which killed Constable William Crews during a
drug raid has momentarily closed his eyes in the witness box as he viewed the tape of
the incident.

- Electrical faults are being blamed for several fires across Sydney, including one
at Strathfield which resulted in 11 people being treated by paramedics.

- There's been a 20 per cent spike in drive-by shootings in Sydney's west and southwest,
according to the latest figures from the Bureau of Crime Statistics.
